Yemen rallies in support of Gaza amid Israeli aggression

Yemenis held mass rallies in Sana’a and other provinces to show support for Palestinians and condemn Israeli actions in Gaza.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Once again, Yemenis have gathered in Sana’a and other cities to express strong support for the people of Gaza amid Israel's ongoing military campaign.

Demonstrators filled al-Sabeen Square in the capital on Friday, rallying under the slogan: “Steadfast with Gaza. And ready and mobilized against aggression.”

Waving Yemeni and Palestinian flags, the protesters chanted pro-Palestinian slogans and voiced support for Yemen's retaliatory operations targeting Israeli interests.

Similar rallies occurred across various provinces, including Dhale, Ibb, Sa’ada, Ta’izz, and Hajjah.

A statement from the protest organizers condemned the silence of most Arab governments and the global community, saying this inaction encourages Israel to persist in its attacks.

The statement affirmed that the Yemeni people, guided by their leadership, remain unwavering in support of Gaza and all of Palestine, rejecting fear from Israeli or American threats.

It also called on Arab and Muslim nations to boycott Israeli and U.S. products, describing the boycott as a powerful and accessible form of resistance.

These protests have become nearly weekly events across Yemen, demonstrating consistent public opposition to Israel’s actions in Gaza and support for Yemen’s counter-response.

Since the conflict escalated in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous attacks in solidarity with Gaza, striking Israeli targets and maritime vessels heading toward the occupied territories.

The war began after Palestinian resistance fighters launched the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in response to years of Israeli oppression.

According to reports, Israel’s military actions in Gaza have so far killed more than 57,268 Palestinians—many of them women and children.
